Life in the Berkshires

It seems as though the summer mushroom season is tapering off here. I haven’t been finding too many chanterelles and not a single lobster in the last couple of weeks. Just a lot of inedible coral fungi and a few slug-eaten painted boletes. It has been a little colder for the last couple of weeks than I heard it has been here. The fireflies have also become sparse. I guess it’s a good thing I’ve got stuff in the studio to keep me busy right now. I unloaded a small bisque yesterday, and I plan on glazing the pots today and hopefully loading them into a cone ten firing electric kiln so that I can have pots by tomorrow afternoon (maybe).

I want to take a couple of them with me downtown to some art shops and small galleries and ask if they do consignment with artists like myself. I need to get some sort of selling basis going here. Also, I need to figure out the imaging setup here so I can list new pots in my Etsy shop 🙂

Anyway, my work is still ever changing. I have been going on an aspen leaf drawing spree lately:

About clayhead33

I am a potter-- I love to draw, play guitar, cook yummy food... and just have fun in general. I love to make a difference with my work, even something as small as inspiring a fellow artist :)
